Activity & Longevity
You may think that genetics determines one’s longevity, but research has proven that your genes account for a maximum of 30 percent of your life expectancy. The rest comes from your behaviors, attitudes, environment!
It’s not news that exercise is linked to longevity, but recent studies suggest it’s a combination of factors, not just exercise, that unlock the fountain of youth. These factors include physical, social, and productive activities. People who are socially active, in conjunction with being physically active live longer than those less socially involved. While we are a fitness studio and focus on keeping you physically active, we also offer a sense of community and a means to increase your social connections. At your next workout, make sure you strike up a conversation with someone new or sign up for the extracurricular events.
